Teaching and Research Meeting
So as to implement the spirit of ‘Promoting Teaching by Research and Integration of Teaching& Research’, on the morning of 12th February, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Section of the east campus held the teaching& research conference in the new term which consisted of two phases.
In the first phase, from 8.10 A.M. to 9 A.M. at the conference room on the first floor of the administration building, Junior High Department convened the special meeting for group leaders from both the Teaching& Research Group and the Lesson Preparation Group. The meeting was chaired by Vice Director Wang Shengxiang.
Initially, Vice Director Wang Shengxiang arranged specific job assignments and pointed out that this semester’s teaching& research activities should focus on discussions in which teachers were supposed to do research on learning situation, teaching materials& methods, key& difficult points and positively made the collaborative lesson planning practicable. Also, Vice Director Wang Shengxiang laid emphasis on the arrangement and detailed request of demonstration lessons.
Additionally, Principal Assistant Lu Dan addressed a keynote speech in which he emphasized that teachers were supposed to further make clear their objectives and tasks in the new term and vigorously promote teaching& research to create high efficiency in class.
Afterwards, Principal Assistant Lu Dan put stress on the following aspects. First, teachers should continue to discuss how to prepare lessons effectively. Second, teachers are required to further enhance their learning on curriculum standards. Third, teachers in charge of graduating classes should focus on their work in class and discuss the general review plans with the integrated strength of the Teaching& Research Group. Fourth, Principal Assistant Lu addressed the consolidation of strict implementation on lesson preparation and the ‘Four-Fix’ policy, other known as fixed points, fixed timing, fixed agreement on people and matters, which all required actual effect. Fifth, each discipline group was asked to carry out distinctive student activities. Sixth, teachers were expected to reinforce the athletic and experimental training in graduating classes.
In the second phase, from 10 A.M. to 11.30 A.M., each discipline group convened the teaching& research meeting to discuss and implement the arrangement of this term’s teaching& research activities. Meanwhile, they talked over and formulated the teaching& research schedules as well as the teaching progress charts for the new semester. Owing to the serious discussion of each teacher, all assignments were successfully completed.
